Board Changes
API Group plc announced today that Brian Birkenhead and Martin O'Connell are to
resign as Non-executive Directors and each will step down from the Board on 30
April 2008.
Richard Wright, Non-Executive Chairman, said:
'The admission of the Company's shares to AIM, with its more flexible regulatory
requirements, has allowed us to reduce the size of the Board. The Directors
consider that, going forward, the composition of the Board will be more
appropriate for a company of API's size and resources, whilst allowing us to
maintain our commitment to high standards of corporate governance.
Brian and Martin have served the Board with distinction since their appointments
on 1 February 2006 and 1 May 2006 respectively. We would like to express our
thanks for the very significant contributions which they have each made over
that time and to wish them both well for the future.'
