                  EXTRACTS FROM THE CHAIRMAN'S AGM STATEMENT

At  today's  Annual  General Meeting of API Group  plc,  the  Chairman,  Moger
Woolley said:


'API  has  started  the  financial  year with  the  first  quarter  showing  a
satisfactory  improvement over last year.  Our view of the prospects  for  the
full  year  is  unchanged  from  our comments  at  the  time  of  the  Group's
preliminary  announcement  of results on 6 December.   The  demand  for  brand
authentication  and  anti-counterfeiting  holographic  products  continues  to
accelerate.  To exploit this opportunity we have created a focused division to
concentrate resources and investment to grow our business in this exciting new
global market.'
