The Company was notified on 6th January that The Goldman Sachs Group Inc, and
its direct and indirect subsidiaries, are now interested in a total of 1,113,000
ordinary shares of 25p each in the Company, representing 3.3% of the Company's
issued share capital.

Of these 1,113,000 shares, 350,000 are held by Goldman Sachs & Co, a
wholly-owned direct subsidiary of Goldman Sachs Group Inc, acting as custodian
for its customers. The remaining 763,000 shares are held as a beneficial
interest by Goldman Sachs International, a wholly-owned indirect subsidiary of
Goldman Sachs Group Inc.
