Appointment of non-executive Director
The Board of Shires Smaller Companies plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Barry M Rose as a non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 1 March 2011.
Mr Rose is Chairman of Baillie Gifford Shin Nippon PLC. He has extensive investment experience and was formerly a director of Scottish Provident Institution and Chief Executive of Scottish Provident UK. He is currently a director of Wolfson Microelectronics plc, Optus plc and Dimensional Imaging Limited.
In accordance with paragraphs 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules, it is confirmed that there are no additional details to be disclosed in relation to Mr Rose.
