Board Changes

The Board of abrdn UK Smaller Companies Growth Trust plc (the "Company") is very pleased to announce the appointment of Manju Malhotra as an independent non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 1 May 2023. 

Manju is Chief Executive Officer of Harvey Nichols, a position she has held since January 2020. She joined the business in 1998 and progressed through various roles including Chief Operating Officer and prior to that as CFO. Manju is a Chartered Accountant. 

Manju is also currently a non-executive director of Workspace Group plc.

There are no other disclosures required under Section 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules in relation to this appointment.

Manju will stand for election at the Annual General Meeting to be held in November 2023.

The Board also announces that Caroline Ramsay will retire as a Director with effect from the Annual General Meeting in November 2023. Caroline has been a Director since August 2016 and the Board would like to thank her for her significant contribution over this time, including in her capacity as Chairman of the Audit Committee.

It is the Board's intention that, following Caroline's retirement, Manju will be appointed as Chairman of the Audit Committee.
