AGM Trading Statement
accesso Technology Group plc (AIM: ACSO), the premier technology solutions provider to leisure, entertainment and cultural markets provides the following update on recent trading.
Trading Statement
At 10:00am today, the Group will hold its Annual General Meeting (the "AGM" or the "Meeting") at Unit 5, The Pavilions, Ruscombe Park, Twyford, Berkshire, RG10 9NN. At that time, the Executive Chairman of the Meeting will provide the following update on trading for the four months ended 30 April 2017:
"I am happy to report that the first part of the 2017 financial year has started strongly, with all parts of the business generating good momentum. A number of important wins in the period reflect both the ongoing demand for our core products and our expanding global reach. As previously announced, during the period accesso ShoWaresm has won a number of new contracts, while the CNN Studio Tour in Atlanta has become a new customer for accesso Passport®. The NFL Experience, in New York's Times Square, has also selected the full accesso Passport suite, including mobile point-of-sale, to serve its customers when it opens later in the year. We have also completed our first accesso LoQueuesm installation featuring our accesso Prismsm technology and expect the system to go-live imminently.
We are also pleased to announce a significant new contract for accesso Siriuswaresm with the operator Experiencias Xcaret, which has a network of seven popular experiences, parks, and attractions in Mexico. When implementation is complete, accesso Siriusware will operate on more than 400 workstations across the destinations, providing a range of software modules including retail, food and beverage, access control, rentals, reservations and gift cards. Experiencias Xcaret will also use accesso Siriusware to coordinate and schedule transportation between its various sites. This win represents another important example of expansion for accesso Siriusware beyond its traditional ski markets, showcasing its broad appeal and ability to overcome universal guest-management challenges for customers.
Beyond these new business wins, the global rollout of accesso Passport across Merlin Entertainments continues according to plan. The start of 2017 has, amongst others, seen go-lives at Merlin's London Cluster, Alton Towers, and at the new LEGOLAND® Japan Theme Park.
Lastly, the Board is delighted with the early progress made following our acquisition of Ingresso, announced on the 30th March 2017. The combination has been well received by customers and partners of both parties, and integration is progressing according to plan.
It is still early in the season and, as is normal, less than 20% of the year has been traded to date. Nevertheless, the strong start gives the Board confidence in the Group's outlook, with expectations for the year remaining unchanged.
