Buckland's Derlite subsidiary has received CSA (Canadian Standards Association)
approval for its range of spark ignition electrodes for use in domestic and
commercial gas cookers and ovens. CSA is the foremost certification authority
for such appliances for the North American market. Derlite already makes
significant exports to the USA and this approval opens up the opportunity to
further build on that position. It is expected that additional sales in 2005 as
a result of this CSA approval will total some US$ 500,000.
