Ofcom publishes State of the Nation
Actual Experience plc (AIM: ACT), the analytics as a service company, is pleased to announce that today Ofcom has published its State of the Nation report, outlining the quality of the UK's broadband and highlights how best to deploy resources to improve the quality of the nation's online experience.
One of Ofcom's key findings is that digital quality is not solely dependant on speed but is affected by a number of additional factors that occur across all digital supply chains. Actual Experience has helped Ofcom in its analysis through its BbFix project. Free to consumers, BbFix measures the quality of online digital applications such as BBC iPlayer and Facebook and is able to identify the source of digital misbehaviour wherever it is found.
The report can be found on Ofcom's website here:

Dave Page, Actual Experience CEO commented: "Poor digital quality affects everyone, from the individual to global enterprises and can have a huge impact on productivity and perception of digital brand. The government is currently focussed on improving poor quality broadband and has previously attributed the majority of the problem to speed.
"The Ofcom data, published today, highlights that it is not just speed that is causing poor connectivity, and that financial resources could be more appropriately targeted at improving quality. By avoiding a high speed rollout on the 70% of homes where it will make little or no difference, we could divert resources to the 5% of homes without any broadband and work on fixes to quality for everyone's benefit."
