ADAMIND LICENSES CONTENT PRODUCTION SOFTWARE TO NGTS SOLUTIONS OF MALAYSIA
Adamind Spire(TM) Production Suite will enable NGTS, the application service
provider (ASP), to adapt content for Pan Asian markets
Palo Alto, California. 3 July, 2006: Adamind Inc. (LSE: ADA) (Adamind or the
"Company"), a global supplier of software that enables mobile multimedia
messaging, content and converged communications services to be experienced over
any device or network, announces that it has signed a licensing deal with NGT
Solutions Sdn Bhd (NGTS) for its Spire(TM) Production Suite. Adamind will
receive upfront license fees followed by additional capacity license as more
content partners sign up to NGT's ASP services.
NGTS, an application service provider based in Malaysia, will utilize Adamind's
software to enable content providers, distributors and media owners to adapt
content for mobile distribution over partner networks in South East Asia. The
service will be commercially available from 1 July 2006 and will serve the Pan
Asian market enabling the production, packaging and marketing of media-rich
content to mobile subscribers. In addition, a wealth of value-added features
such as content previewing, digital rights management (DRM), branding and
advertising provided by the Spire(TM) Production Suite can be added in the
future.
Adamind will receive an initial licensing fee for providing its media adaptation
platform and a package of transcoding software. As usage grows, it is expected
that NGTS will purchase additional features and transcoding licenses to serve
its content partners.
Datuk J. L. Solomon, CEO of NGTS, said: "By utilizing Adamind's software, NGTS
can confidently offer content providers and mobile operators with an accelerated
content to market process while assuring high quality end-user experience.
Furthermore, we wanted to provide mobile operators and content providers with a
solution that will offer them a multitude of revenue generating options and the
Spire(TM) Production Suite is the natural choice."
Shailendra Jain, CEO of Adamind said, "This deal serves as a model for Adamind's
strategy in the content services market in major regions worldwide. We are
excited to support NGTS in their Managed Content Transcoding Service and are
confident that our platform will provide an ideal basis upon which to build a
strong service for the market, now and in the future."
Media adaptation plays a crucial role in the delivery of rich media mobile
content to subscribers, thereby enabling mobile phone operators and content
owners to generate higher revenues from users. Today's mobile environment is
characterized by a myriad of devices that differ in characteristics and
attributes which directly impact the reception of media. For best end-user
experience, media needs to be transcoded - adapted and released in device
specific versions. The Adamind Spire(TM) transforms media adaptation from a
manual process into a fully automated device-centric and network aware process
enabling content providers and operators to quickly and efficiently mobilize
their content to the market. It further allows the setting of transcoding
templates per client that will be used for automated transcoding and the
validation of quality of the converted files prior to distribution
