AGM Statement

DawMed Systems PLC 11 March 2005 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 11 MARCH 2005 DAWMED SYSTEMS PLC ('DawMed' or 'the Company') AGM STATEMENT At today's Annual General Meeting of DawMed Systems plc ('DawMed' or 'the Company'), the medical devices company which designs, manufactures, sells and services washer-disinfector-dryers ('WDD') used by NHS Trust hospitals, private hospitals and clinics, the Executive Chairman, Kevin Gilmore, commented: 'I am pleased to report that, in line with my December year-end Statement, every Division of your Company is indicating significantly improved levels of business compared with 2004, which I anticipate will lead to a return to profitability this year. 'The Board has continued to concentrate on the Company's current and future growth areas; namely Wassenburg flexible endoscope WD products, the Support Services Division and the 'Clinic' bench top WDD. These three important areas are seen by the Board as the key drivers to the future growth and profitability of the business on which it intends to concentrate the Company's resources, but the traditional business Division of large WDDs for the Sterile Services Departments ('SSD') of hospitals is also showing a welcome increase compared with 2004. 'It has been a highly active period so far. In the first five months of this year alone, the Board has demonstrated the strength of its management team and business performance through a successful fundraising of £260,000 gross, predominantly for marketing the 'Clinic' and for working capital, followed by the awards of two significant Hospital Trust contracts with a combined value exceeding £1 million, one of which represents your company's largest single contract to date comprising traditional SSD Division WDDs. 'Moreover, following our announcement that your company had received confirmation of its Preferred Supplier Status award by the NHS for its 'Clinic' Primary Care bench top WDD in England, the Directors received a noticeable and encouraging level of positive interest when it exhibited the 'Clinic' at the Arab Health Exhibition, the Middle East's largest healthcare exhibition, in Dubai. 'The focus is now on the achievement of a good return on the past investments in all Divisions of the Company and the optimisation of the existing and newly emerging areas of application of the 'Clinic' bench top WDD from the platform of your Company's healthy and established organisation and infrastructure.' All resolutions proposed at the Annual General Meeting were duly passed. ---ENDS--- Enquiries: DawMed Systems plc Tel: 1789 450075 Kevin Gilmore, Executive Chairman Beaumont Cornish limited Tel: 020 7628 3396 Roland Cornish Bishopsgate Communications Limited Tel: 020 7430 1600 Maxine Barnes Dominic Barretto For further information please visit DawMed's website at www.dawmed.com This information is provided by RNS The company news service from the London Stock Exchange
