Dawnay, Day Carpathian plc ('the Company')
The Company was informed on 20 September 2005 that, on 16 September 2005, following acquisitions, CSFB (as defined
below) holds a total interest of 6,200,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company, representing approximately 4.43%
of the issued share capital of the Company.
These shares are held by Credit Suisse First Boston (Europe) Limited ('CSFBEL'). CSFBEL is a member of the investment
banking business of Credit Suisse and reference to CSFB in this announcement includes all the subsidiaries and
affiliates of Credit Suisse operating under the Credit Suisse First Boston name. Those group companies which are direct
or indirect holding companies of CSFBEL are, under the terms of section 203 of the Act, each interested by attribution
in any shares in which CSFBEL are interested.
