Admiral Group plc (the "Company")

With respect to Listing Rule 9.6.14 the Company announces that Alastair Lyons,
the Company's non-executive Chairman, has been appointed non-executive director
of Serco Group plc ("Serco") with immediate effect and will take up the
chairmanship of Serco at the conclusion of Serco's Annual General Meeting on 11
May 2010.

Mr. Lyons has been non-executive Chairman of the Company since 2000 and intends
to continue in this role for the foreseeable future.
