                              Directorate Changes

In March 2006 the Group announced that Andrew Probert would retire from his
position as Finance Director in September. The Board confirms that this change
took place on 4 September 2006. The Group is pleased to announce that Kevin
Chidwick is appointed to the position of Finance Director. Kevin Chidwick was
appointed as Admiral's Finance Director Designate on 7 March 2006.

Kevin joined Admiral in September 2005 from Engage Mutual. He has over 20 years
experience in UK financial services, including senior positions with Cigna and
National Australia Bank. Kevin is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered
Certified Accountants and has an MBA from London Business School.

The Group is also pleased to announce the appointment of Lucy Kellaway and
Margaret Johnson to the position of Non-Executive Directors of the Board with
immediate effect. Mrs Johnson will also join the Audit Committee and
Remuneration Committee from the date of this appointment and Mrs Kellaway will
join the Nomination Committee.

Margaret Johnson has been Group Managing Director of the international
advertising agency Leagas Delaney since 2002, and with that company for the past
11 years. Leagas Delaney numbers amongst its clients Goodyear, Patek Philippe,
and the Nationwide Building Society.

Lucy Kellaway is the Financial Times' management columnist, and has been with 
the paper for the last twenty years, during which time she has held the roles 
of energy correspondent, Brussels correspondent, and a Lex writer.

There are no other details that require disclosure, pursuant to Listing Rule
9.6.11R and 9.6.13R.
