                    Admiral Group plc launches in Germany



The Group is pleased to announce that its operation in Germany, trading under
the name of AdmiralDirekt.de, has opened from its offices based in Cologne. It
is intended that various marketing campaigns will be tested over the coming
months and volumes will be small during this period. The Group will provide
further update when it announces its results for the year ended 31 December 2007
in March 2008.

Henry Engelhardt, Chief Executive, commented, 'The managers in Germany have
worked extremely hard to get the approvals required, systems and staff in place
to launch our second overseas operation and we congratulate them on reaching
this important milestone.'
