            ADVANCED MEDICAL SOLUTIONS SIGNS DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT
                                       
                 FOR SWITZERLAND WITH NOVARTIS CONSUMER HEALTH
                                       
Winsford,  5  July 2000: Advanced Medical Solutions Group plc  ('AMS'),  today
announced  that  it  has  signed an agreement with Novartis  Consumer  Health,
Europe,  for  the  distribution of its ActivHealT range  of  innovative  wound
dressings into Switzerland.

This is the third such agreement with Novartis Consumer Health within the last
eight  months. An agreement covering UK and Ireland was announced in  November
1999  and a second agreement for Germany was finalised in April. AMS  now  has
strong  distribution  channels in the majority of the key world-wide  consumer
healthcare markets.

Novartis  Consumer  Health will begin distribution of the  advanced  woundcare
products under the MerfenR Actiplast brand in late summer 2000.

Commenting  on  the agreement, Don Evans, Chief Executive of Advanced  Medical
Solutions, said:

'We  are  progressing  well with our strategy to increase  the  global  market
presence  of  our  innovative  Consumer Advanced Woundcare  products.  We  are
confident  that our association with major corporate partners will  result  in
further expansion into additional global markets later this year.'

'Following  the  successful  launch in February,  Savlon  ActivHealT  now  has
distribution in Boots, Tesco and the majority of independent pharmacies.  With
the  recent  launch  in Germany and impending launch in  Switzerland,  we  are
confident of repeating the success in these key strategic markets.'
