Holding in Company



The Company received notification on 20 April 2001 that following a purchase
of 3,000,000 Ordinary Shares of 10p each in the Company ('Ordinary Shares'),
Newton Investment Management Limited is now interested in a total of
13,969,997 Ordinary Shares representing 14.93 per cent. of the Company's
issued share capital.



Within the above total of 13,969,997 Ordinary Shares, the Newton Exempt Fund
holds 7,018,569 Ordinary Shares and the Newton UK Smaller Companies Exempt
Fund holds 6,951,428 Ordinary Shares representing 7.50 per cent. and 7.43 per
cent. respectively of the Company's issues share capital.
