Advanced Medical Solutions Group plc ('AMS' or 'the Company')

On 12 August 2002, the Company received notification from Newton Investment
Management Limited ('Newton') that, following the sale of 184,873 ordinary
shares of 5p each in AMS, Newton now has an interest in 21,144,999 shares in AMS
representing approximately 14.88% of the issued ordinary share capital of the
Company.
