Advanced Medical Solutions Group plc ('AMS' or the Company)
Marketing & Distribution Partnership
With Paul Hartmann AG ('Hartmann')
Winsford, UK: AMS, the global woundcare technology company, today announced that
it had entered into a marketing and distribution partnership with Hartmann, a
major international healthcare company based in Heidenheim, Germany.
With over 1 billion Euro turnover and 10,000 employees, Hartmann has a strong
global market presence in Professional Woundcare and Consumer OTC and is a
leading supplier of dressings and bandages for general woundcare. Hartmann's
traditional strength in Europe was supplemented by the acquisition of Conco
Medical Corporation in the US in 2001.
Under this partnership agreement, Hartmann will have access to AMS technology to
launch new products into the advanced woundcare market segment under their
brands. Initially, Hartmann will be distributing a range of AMS' proprietary
foam dressings, used primarily for treatment of chronic wounds such as ulcers
and pressure sores, into the US market.
Commenting on this announcement, Dr. Don Evans, Chief Executive Officer of AMS,
stated:
'I am extremely pleased that we have partnered with such a major player as
Hartmann. Their strong global presence in both Professional and Consumer
Woundcare provides a very good fit with AMS as these are the target markets for
our products and technology. We look forward to expanding our product offering
both in the US and into other major markets.'
Gerry Harold, Marketing Manager of Hartmann-Conco Inc. added:
'The products we have sourced from AMS allow us to develop our business in the
key foam market segment. Foam dressings are a $100 million portion of the US
advanced woundcare market with a 15% growth rate.'
