With over 1 billion Euro turnover and 10,000 employees, Hartmann has a strong global market presence in Professional Woundcare and Consumer OTC and is a leading supplier of dressings and bandages for general woundcare. Hartmann's traditional strength in Europe was supplemented by the acquisition of Conco Medical Corporation in the US in 2001. Under this partnership agreement, Hartmann will have access to AMS technology to launch new products into the advanced woundcare market segment under their brands. Initially, Hartmann will be distributing a range of AMS' proprietary foam dressings, used primarily for treatment of chronic wounds such as ulcers and pressure sores, into the US market.
