Advanced Medical Solutions Group plc ('AMS' or 'the Company')
Announces collaboration with Nitto Medical for Japan
Winsford, UK: Advanced Medical Solutions, (AIM: AMS), the global woundcare
technology company, announces today that it has signed a collaboration agreement
with Nitto Medical Corporation, a division of Japan's Nitto Denko Group.
Under the terms of the agreement, Nitto Medical will undertake market evaluation
and regulatory approval of a number of AMS' woundcare products with the option
of entering into marketing and distribution agreements for these products in
Japan.
Established in 1918, Nitto Denko Group is a 453 billion Yen (£2.14 billion)
turnover Japanese materials technology company with three business sectors -
industrial products, electronic products and functional products. Within the
functional products sector, the Group has a range of healthcare products
including medical tapes and transdermal drug delivery patches.
Nitto Medical, a subsidiary formed in 1996, sells surgical tapes and woundcare
products through a sales team of 17 working with 50 distributors throughout
Japan.
Commenting on this announcement, Dr Don Evans, Chief Executive of AMS, stated:
