Trading Update

WinsfordUK: Advanced Medical Solutions Group plc (AIM: AMS), the global medical technology company, today announces an update on current trading prior to its close period for the year to 31 December 2008

Dr. Geoffrey Vernon, Chairman of Advanced Medical Solutions Group plc, stated:

'The business has continued to make excellent progress during the second half of the year and I am pleased to report that the Group is trading at the top end of market expectations for the full year 2008.  During 2009, whilst a portion of the Company's dollar exposure is already locked in, the Company expects to obtain some benefit from a favourable dollar based exchange rate.

'The outlook remains positive with the business continuing to make good progress with all of its key growth drivers.

'The silver alginate business continues to grow with two additional 510(k) approvals being received recently from the FDA - one for a non-adherent anti-microbial dressing and one for Silver Alginate IV. These approvals will allow us to further develop our product range and business in the US.

'Our ActivHeal(R) woundcare range for the treatment of routine wounds continues to gain wider acceptance within NHS Hospital and Primary Care Trusts.

'Kimberly-Clark Health Care recently extended the InteguSeal* microbial sealant range with the addition of IS-50. This smaller sized surgical skin sealant is ideally suited for orthopaedic procedures that involve small incision areas such as hands, feet and ankles.

'We continue to progress the US approval of our LiquiBand™ tissue adhesive. 510(k) applications have been submitted and are currently under review by the FDA, with entry into this key strategic market via marketing and distribution partners expected during 2009.

'Following the joint venture with Corpura BV announced earlier this year, we have initiated a number of development projects incorporating new technologies that can help improve wound healing using Corpura's polyurethane foam technology.'

The Company's preliminary results will be announced in March 2009.
