ADVFN.COM plc ('ADVFN' or the 'Company')


Significant shareholdings


The Company has been informed that On-line plc (ADVFN's parent company) has
today transferred 35,200,000 of the shares it holds in ADVFN to New
Opportunities Investment Trust PLC ('NOIT').  This transaction reduces On-line's
holding in ADVFN from 149,500,000 ordinary shares (45.7% of the issued share
capital) to 114,300,000 ordinary shares (33.3% of the issued share capital).


In addition to the 35,200,000 ADVFN shares acquired by NOIT from On-line plc,
NOIT has also been issued 16,000,000 new ordinary shares directly from ADVFN in
respect of a share exchange which has also been announced today.


As a result of the above transaction, NOIT now owns 51,200,000 ordinary shares
in ADVFN representing 14.9% of the issued share capital of the Company.
