ADVFN plc (the 'Company')

The Company announces that it has placed 295,000 ordinary shares of 1p each (the
'shares') at a price of 3.375p per share. The shares were issued in settlement
of a debt owed by the Company. Admission of and dealings in the shares is
expected to commence on 14 July 2004.
