Afarak Group Plc ("Afarak" or the "Company") (LSE: AFRK, OMX: AFAGR) was notified on 18 September 2013 that Dr Alfredo Parodi, an independent non-executive director of the Company is the beneficial owner of 22,600 ordinary shares ("Shares") in the Company representing approximately 0.009 per cent of the total issued number of Shares. The Shares were acquired prior to his appointment as an independent non-executive director.
