                     2007 PRELIMINARY RESULTS ANNOUNCEMENT


Sterling Energy (AIM: SEY), an independent oil & gas exploration and production
company with interests in North America, Africa and the Middle East, will
announce its 2007 Preliminary Results on Thursday 01 May 2008.


A presentation for financial analysts will be held at 12.00pm on that day at the
