New functionality, upgraded user experience for cloud TV subscribers
Amino Technologies plc (LSE: AMO), the Cambridge-based leader in digital entertainment solutions for IPTV, Internet TV and in-home multimedia distribution, announces that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Finnish technology company Booxmedia, has signed a new contract with Dutch utilities and digital services company DELTA.
Booxmedia will use its white label platform and products to provide, install and maintain a new end-to-end multiscreen cloud TV solution for DELTA.
Once live later on this year, the new service will allow DELTA customers to enjoy the advanced features of Booxmedia's CloudTV-Everywhere Suite that includes live stream programs, catch-up libraries, network PVR and Booxmedia's "start-over-to-live" feature that allows users to watch ongoing live stream broadcasts from the beginning.
The service will extensively use Booxmedia's end-to-end technology that handles everything from media ingest and back-office applications to secure delivery of the content to all different devices that are suitable for IPTV consumption and play-back.
DELTA expects to make the new suite of cloud TV services available to all its All-in-one Premium and Super users at the end of this year.
Commenting on the announcement, Booxmedia CEO Jukka Sintonen said:
"The new deal with DELTA helps consolidate our position in Western Europe. Our broadcast and telco partners want to be able to offer stable technology and the latest features for their own customers, and with the OTT landscape evolving so rapidly, we're delighted that DELTA has chosen Booxmedia technology for their latest state-of-the-art IP-TV service.
DELTA's Business Unit Manager Retail Harko Buringh said:
