Please  be advised that the Board of Directors of Aberforth Geared Capital  &
Income  Trust  plc will meet on 13 July 2005 to consider the interim  results
for  the 6 months to 30 June 2005 and the first interim dividend for the year
to 31 December 2005.

It is anticipated that an announcement regarding the above will be made on 13
July 2005.
