Please  be advised that the Board of Directors of Aberforth Geared Capital  &
Income  Trust  plc will meet on 24 January 2007 to consider  the  preliminary
results for the 12 months to 31 December 2006.

It is anticipated that an announcement regarding the above will be made on 24
January 2007.
