Market Update - Impact of Cyclone Idai
Agriterra Limited, the AIM-quoted African agricultural company whose operations are based in Mozambique advises the market that despite the widespread regional impact of Cyclone Idai, the Company's operations in Chimoio and Tete, Mozambique have not suffered any structural damage and all staff are safe and accounted for.
Power outages impacted milling operations at the Chimoio site for three days but operations have now resumed; separately, the Company's abattoir is also operational.
Executive Chair Caroline Havers commented "We have been extremely fortunate to come through this terrible event relatively unaffected and this is testament to the professionalism of our staff and facilities. We do however recognise that the effects of Cyclone Idai have been significant for many in the region and we will work with our community partners where possible to assist with the recovery process."
