ANNOUNCEMENT ON KEY OPERATING DATA OF JUNE 2017

The enclosed announcement (the "SSE Announcement") was published by Air China Limited (the "Air China") on the Shanghai Stock Exchange on 13 July 2017, which contains combined operating data for June 2017 for Air China and its subsidiaries (collectively, the "Group"). This announcement enclosing the SSE Announcement is made by Air China pursuant to Rule 13.09 and Rule 13.10B of the Listing Rules and the Inside Information Provisions (as defined in the Listing Rules) under Part XIVA of the SFO. The data in the enclosed SSE Announcement was calculated based on the internal statistics of the Group, which may differ from the data disclosed in the relative periodic reports.

ANNOUNCEMENT ON KEY OPERATING DATA OF JUNE 2017

In June 2017, Air China Limited (the "Company"), and its subsidiaries (the "Group") recorded an increase in combined passenger traffic (measured by revenue passenger kilometers (the "RPK")) as compared to the same period last year, with slight decrease as compared to the same period last month. Passenger capacity (measured by available seat kilometers (the "ASK")) and passenger traffic recorded a year-on-year increase of 5.2% and 4.2% respectively. For domestic routes, passenger capacity and passenger traffic increased by 1.8% and 2.7%, respectively, as compared to the same period last year. For international routes, passenger capacity and passenger traffic increased by 11.9% and 7.6%, respectively, as compared to the same period last year. Passenger capacity on regional routes decreased by 4.6%, and passenger traffic saw a decline of 1.2%, as compared to the same period last year. The overall passenger load factor was 80.6%, representing a decline of 0.7 percentage point as compared to the same period last year. The passenger load factor for domestic and regional routes grew by 0.7 and 2.7 percentage points on a year-on-year basis respectively while the passenger load factor for international routes saw a year-on-year decrease of 3.0 percentage points.

The Company launched a Beijing-Astana route (three times a week) on 1 June 2017, a Beijing-Zurich route (four times a week) on 7 June 2017, a Shenzhen-Melbourne route (three times a week) on 20 June 2017, a Tianjin-Turpan-Yining route (four times a week) and a Yunchen-Hong Kong route (three times a week) on 22 June 2017, a Beijing-Zhengzhou-Shaoyang route (seven times a week) on 28 June 2017.

In terms of cargo operations, in June 2017, both the cargo and mail traffic (measured by revenue freight tonne kilometres (the "RFTK")) and the freight tonnage carried displayed a growth on a year-on-year basis, but recorded a decrease on a month-on-month basis. Cargo capacity (measured by available freight tonne kilometers (the "AFTK")) increased by 4.3% on a year-on-year basis. Cargo and mail traffic increased by 7.0% and the volume of cargo and mail carried rose by 2.6% as compared to the same period last year. The cargo load factor was 62.8% in June 2017, representing a year-on-year growth of 1.6 percentage points.

In June 2017, the Group introduced six aircraft in total, including one B737-700 aircraft, one B737-800 aircraft, one B787-9 aircraft, two A321 aircraft and one A319 aircraft, and retired a total of seven aircraft, including five B737-800 aircraft, one B777-200 aircraft and one A320 aircraft. As at the end of June 2017, the Group operated a fleet of 628 aircraft, including 248 self-owned aircraft, 176 aircraft under finance lease and 204 aircraft under operating lease.
