ANNOUNCEMENT ON KEY OPERATING DATA OF JUNE 2022

The enclosed announcement (the "SSE Announcement") was published by Air China Limited (the "Air China") on the Shanghai Stock Exchange on 15 July 2022, which contains combined operating data for June 2022 for Air China and its subsidiaries (collectively, the "Group"). This announcement enclosing the SSE Announcement is made by Air China pursuant to Rules 13.09 and 13.10B of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the "Listing Rules") and the Inside Information Provisions (as defined in the Listing Rules) under Part XIVA of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong).

ANNOUNCEMENT ON KEY OPERATING DATA OF JUNE 2022

In June 2022, Air China Limited (the "Company") and its subsidiaries (the "Group") recorded a year-on-year decrease and a month-on-month increase in combined passenger traffic (measured by revenue passenger kilometers (the "RPK")). Passenger capacity (measured by available seat kilometers (the "ASK")) recorded a year-on-year decrease of 40.5% and a month-on-month increase of 53.2%. Passenger traffic recorded a year-on-year decrease of 47.6% and a month-on-month increase of 73.3%. Among which, for domestic routes, passenger capacity decreased by 40.1% year on year and increased by 55.3% month on month, and passenger traffic decreased by 47.4% year on year and increased by 75.8% month on month. For international routes, passenger capacity decreased by 23.7% and increased by 17.8% as compared to the same period last year and the previous month, respectively, and passenger traffic decreased by 18.1% and increased by 21.0% as compared to the same period last year and the previous month, respectively. For regional routes, passenger capacity decreased by 76.8% and increased by 13.2% as compared to the same period last year and the previous month, respectively, and passenger traffic recorded a decrease of 85.7% year on year and an increase of 20.0% month on month. The overall passenger load factor was 63.1%, representing a decrease of 8.5 percentage points as compared to the same period last year and an increase of 7.3 percentage points as compared to the previous month. Among which, the passenger load factor for domestic routes decreased by 8.8 percentage points year on year and increased by 7.4 percentage points month on month, the passenger load factor for international routes increased by 3.6 percentage points and increased by 1.4 percentage points as compared to the same period last year and the previous month, respectively, and the passenger load factor for regional routes decreased by 22.7 percentage points year on year and increased by 2.1 percentage points month on month.

In terms of cargo operations, cargo capacity (measured by available freight tonne kilometers (the "AFTK")) decreased by 12.5% year on year and decreased by 6.5% month on month. Cargo and mail traffic (measured by revenue freight tonne kilometers (the "RFTK")) decreased by 0.3% year on year and decreased by 5.8% month on month. The cargo load factor was 46.2%, representing a year-on-year increase of 5.7 percentage points and a month-on-month increase of 0.3 percentage points.

In June 2022, the Group introduced two A321NEO aircraft, one A320NEO aircraft, retired one B737- 800 aircraft, one A319 aircraft. As at the end of June 2022, the Group operated a fleet of 748 aircraft, including 304 self-owned aircraft, 239 aircraft under finance lease and 205 aircraft under operating lease.
