                      Sirdar PLC ('Sirdar' or 'the Group')


The board of Sirdar announces that Mr Kevin Burley has today stepped down from
his positions on the Group board and as Managing Director of Sirdar Spinning
Limited. Mr Burley has been with Sirdar for 30 years and has left to pursue
interests outside the Group.

Mr Kevin Henry, Group Finance Director, will assume responsibility for the day
to day management of Sirdar Spinning Limited.

Mr Gerry Lumb, Chairman, said 'The board of Sirdar is grateful to Kevin for his
service to the Group over the past 30 years and everyone at Sirdar wishes him
the very best for the future'.
