Nigeria new SIM registration rules
London and Lagos, 16 December 2020: Airtel Africa, a leading provider of telecommunications and mobile money services, with a presence in 14 countries across Africa, notes the directive issued by the Nigerian Communications Commission on 15 December 2020 which requires subscribers of all networks to provide their valid National Identification Numbers to update SIM registration records by 30 December 2020, or risk being blocked by the networks.
Airtel Nigeria is working to comply with this directive.
