ALBION TECHNOLOGY & GENERAL VCT PLC

SHARE PURCHASE, VOTING RIGHTS AND CAPITAL

Albion Technology & General VCT PLC announces that it purchased 312,070 Ordinary Shares at 64.23 pence on 17 August 2012. The shares purchased represent 0.76% of the total number of voting rights in the Company before the transaction.  These shares will be held in treasury. In addition the Company today cancels 500,000 shares out of Treasury.

Following this transaction, and, in conformity with the Transparency Directive's transitional provision 6 we would like to notify the market of the following:

Albion Technology & General VCT PLC's capital as at 17 August 2012 consisted of 45,001,719 Ordinary shares with a nominal value of 1p each. Albion Technology & General VCT PLC holds 4,341,070 shares in Treasury.

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Albion Technology & General VCT PLC is 40,660,649 which may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or change to their interest in Albion Technology & General VCT PLC under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
