                                Net Asset Value

The Board of Close Technology & General VCT PLC announces that the unaudited net
asset values of the Ordinary Shares and the C Shares as at 30 September 2007
amounted to approximately 116.37 pence (excluding treasury shares) and 94.10
pence respectively.

This is before accounting for the dividends of 4 pence per Ordinary share and
1.5 pence per C share paid on 2 November 2007.
