Disposal of investment in the Place Sandwich VCT Limited
The Board is pleased to announce the successful sale of its investment in The
Place Sandwich VCT Limited, the owner and operator of the 37-bedroom Bell Hotel
in Sandwich, to Shepherd Neame Limited, realising net proceeds of £1,785,000
compared to book value of £1,501,000.
As a result of the sale, Albion Venture Capital Trust PLC has received a return
of approximately 1.6x its investment including loan stock income received.
