Albion Venture Capital Trust PLC
Issue of Equity
Albion Venture Capital Trust PLC (the "Company") announces that, further to the
Dividend Reinvestment Scheme introduced by the Company (details of which were
set out in the Circular issued to shareholders on 10 July 2008), the Company
today allotted 49,774 Ordinary shares of 50p each (the "New Ordinary shares") in
the capital of the Company. Â The New Ordinary shares were issued at a price of
79.1p, comprising the net asset value at 31 March 2010 less the dividend of 2.5
pence per Ordinary share.
Accordingly, application has been made to the UK Listing Authority for the
admission of the New Ordinary shares to the Official List of the UK Listing
Authority and to trading on the London Stock Exchange's main market for listed
securities and it is expected that dealings will commence on 28 June 2010. The
New Ordinary shares will rank pari passu in all respects with the existing
Ordinary shares in issue.
Following the issue of the New Ordinary, Albion Venture Capital Trust PLC's
capital as at 25 June 2010 consists of 36,149,006 Ordinary shares and 1,467,278
shares in Treasury.
Therefore the total number of voting rights in Albion Venture Capital Trust PLC
is 34,681,728 which may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the
calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their
interest in, or a change to their interest in, Albion Venture Capital Trust PLC
under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency rules.
