TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES, VOTING RIGHTS AND CAPITAL

In conformity with the Transparency Directive's transitional provision 6 we would like to notify the market of the following: 

Albion Venture Capital Trust PLC's capital as at 31 March 2009 consists of 36,003,835 Ordinary shares with a nominal value of 50p each.  Albion Venture Capital Trust PLC holds 975,586 shares in Treasury.  

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Albion Venture Capital Trust PLC is 35,028,249.

The figure of 35,028,249 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or change to their interest in, Albion Venture Capital Trust PLC under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
