Transaction in Own Shares

SHARE PURCHASE, VOTING RIGHTS AND CAPITAL

Albion  Venture Capital Trust  PLC announces that  it purchased 125,000 Ordinary
shares at a price of 66 pence per share on 24 May 2010. This represents 0.36% of
the  total number of voting rights in the Company before the transaction.  These
shares will be held in Treasury.

Following  this transaction and in  conformity with the Transparency Directive's
transitional provision 6 we would like to notify the market of the following:

Albion Venture Capital Trust PLC's capital today consists of 36,099,232 Ordinary
shares with a nominal value of 50p each.  Albion Venture Capital Trust PLC holds
1,428,278 shares in Treasury.

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Albion Venture Capital Trust PLC
is  34,670,954 and  may  be  used  by  shareholders  as  the denominator for the
calculations  by which they will determine if  they are required to notify their
interest  in, or change to  their interest in, Albion  Venture Capital Trust PLC
under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
