TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES, VOTING RIGHTS AND CAPITAL

Albion Venture Capital Trust PLC announces that it has purchased 288,000 Ordinary shares on 11 July 2013 at a price of 66.7 pence per share. The shares purchased represent 0.49% of the total number of voting rights in the Company before the transaction.  These shares will be held in treasury.

Following this transaction, and in conformity with the provisions of DTR 5.6, we would like to notify the market of the following:

Albion Venture Capital Trust PLC's capital as at 11 July 2013 consisted of 62,921,861 Ordinary shares with a nominal value of 1 penny each. The Company holds 4,440,440 shares in treasury.

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Albion Venture Capital Trust PLC is 58,481,421 which may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Albion Venture Capital Trust PLC under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
