Alkane announces that application has been made to the London Stock Exchange for the admission of 44,797 new ordinary shares of 0.5 pence each. The admission is being made pursuant to the exercise by an employee on 5 January 2015 of options over 44,797 shares at an exercise price of 17.3 pence per share under the Group's Employee Sharesave Plan.

It is expected that admission will occur and dealings in the new ordinary shares will commence at 8.00am on 9 January 2015. Following the admission of the new shares, the issued share capital of the Company will be 147,664,703 ordinary shares.
