Grant of SAYE Share Options

Alkane Energy plc announces that on 5 May 2015 share options were granted under the Alkane Energy plc Sharesave Scheme.

A total of 1,254,631 options over ordinary shares of 0.5p each were granted with a contract start date of 1 June 2015 ("Options"). The maturity date of the Options is 1 June 2018, and the option price, which was set in accordance with HMRC rules for approved sharesave plans, is 16.8p. The allocation of Options was made available to all Group employees, and amounted to 0.77% of the Company's issued share capital. The following directors were granted Options:

Carl Kameen's current shareholding is 38,548 ordinary shares of 0.5p each, representing approximately 0.02% of the existing issued share capital.

Steve Goalby's current shareholding is 1,074,381 ordinary shares of 0.5p each, representing approximately 0.66% of the existing issued share capital.
