         Non-Executive Chairman, Michael Gatenby buys 40,000 Shares



On 12th November 2004, Michael Gatenby, the non-executive Chairman of Alliance Pharma plc, purchased 40,000 shares at 
16p representing 0.03 per cent of the total issued share capital.  The purchase brings his total shareholding in the 
Company to 80,000 shares which represents 0.06 per cent of the total issued share capital.
