Additional information:	On the 15 September 2014 Elliott Capital Advisors, L.P. submitted a TR1 form to notify The Alliance Trust PLC (in accordance with DTR 5) that the aggregated holdings in The Alliance Trust PLC held by Elliott International, L.P. and The Liverpool Limited Partnership had exceeded the 12% notification threshold. On the 29 September 2014 The Liverpool Limited Partnership transferred a certain proportion of its existing interest in The Alliance Trust PLC to Elliott Associates, L.P.  However, the aggregate interest in The Alliance Trust PLC as is currently held by Elliott Associates, L.P., Elliott International, L.P. and The Liverpool Limited Partnership remain within the 12%-13% level as previously notified in the TR1 form submitted by Elliott Capital Advisors, L.P. on 15 September 2014.
