CORRECTION

By  error  Slough Estates was omitted from the list of largest  holdings  at  29
February  2004, at which date the value of equity and preference  of  stocks  of
Slough  Estates held by The Alliance Trust PLC was £14.5m and it  was  the  12th
largest holding.
