                     Results of the Annual General Meeting


                                 27 April 2004





The Company is pleased to announce that at the Annual General Meeting held
earlier today all resolutions put to the meeting were duly passed.

Following the Annual General Meeting, Mr Bryan Lenygon announced that he would
be retiring as Chairman of the Company with immediate effect, but that he would
remain as a Director of the Company. Mr Lenygon advised that the Board had
carefully considered who should succeed him and that the Board had unanimously
agreed to invite Mr David Quysner to assume the position as Chairman.

Having agreed to accept the position, Mr David Quysner was appointed to succeed
Mr Lenygon as Chairman with immediate effect.

Mr Quysner is Chairman of Abingworth Management Limited and has over 30 years
experience in venture capital fund management and of managing investment in
technology companies in both the UK and the USA.
