                              DIRECTOR RESIGNATION



The Board of Finsbury Technology Trust PLC announces that Bryan Lenygon, who
chaired the Board from the launch of the Company in 1995 until the conclusion of
the Annual General Meeting in April 2004, has resigned as a director.


On behalf of the Board, the new Chairman, David Quysner, thanked Mr Lenygon for
the significant contribution that he made to the success of the Company.
