                          APPOINTMENT OF NEW DIRECTOR





The Board of Finsbury Technology is delighted to announce the appointment of
John Cornish FCA, BSc Econ, as an independent non-executive director to the
Company with effect from 1 May 2005.



John joined Spicer and Pegler in 1964 and became a Partner in 1974. Spicer and
Pegler merged with Touche Ross in 1990 and became Deloitte & Touche in the mid
1990's. John retired as a senior partner of Deloitte & Touche on 31 May 2004.



From the late 1980's John led the firm's Investment Trust Industry Team,
achieving a high profile in the industry with the AITC and various fund
management groups. During his career John acted as lead client service partner
to a number of large plc's, undertook a number of special appointments for
regulatory bodies and, following the merger with Touche Ross, concentrated on
practice development and provision of advisory services to senior board level
executives, including in excess of 30 investment trust boards.



The Board of Finsbury Technology believes John will bring a wealth of relevant
experience and extensive industry wide knowledge to the Board.



There are no matters to be disclosed under chapters 6F 2(b) to (g) inclusive of
the Listing Rules in respect to the appointee.
