Alumasc (ALU.L), which supplies premium building and engineering products, announces that it was informed on 24th December 2008 that Mr G Paul Hooper, Chief Executive, purchased 28,227 ordinary shares (0.078% of the issued share capital) on 24 December 2008 at 57 pence per share.  

Following this, Mr G Paul Hooper has an interest in 225,893 ordinary shares, representing 0.63% of the issued share capital of the Company.
