Alumasc, the specialist engineering and building products group, proposes to
make its preliminary announcement of results for the year ended 30 June 2001
next Tuesday, 11 September 2001.

On Tuesday 11 September 2001, at 9.30 a.m., an analyst presentation will be
held at the offices of Bankside Consultants Limited, 123 Cannon Street, London
EC4N 5AU (the red brick building 100 yards to the east of Cannon Street
station on the opposite side of the road).
