Land Sale
Alumasc, the high specification engineering and building products group,
announces that on 30 June 2004 it exchanged contracts for the sale of land in
Burton-upon-Trent, formerly the site of Alumasc Grundy, generating a pre-tax
profit of £0.8m.
The consideration was £2.1m, 5% of which was paid in cash on exchange of
contracts; the balance is payable on 28 July 2004. The book value of the assets
which were the subject of the transaction was £1.3m.
The proceeds will be used for further Group expansion.
